The equipment side of the OnSiteSafety family

Confined Space Rentals rents the hardware. The crews who use it get their confined space entry training from OnSiteSafety, our sister company. Both operate under the same corporate family, Vanwebdev LTD, and both serve the same crews across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

The logic is simple. A confined space entry course teaches you what a compliant entry looks like: tested atmosphere, forced ventilation, retrieval rigged before anyone goes down. The next morning your crew still needs the four-gas monitor, the tripod and winch, and the blower to actually do it. That is where we come in. Training sells the knowledge, we rent the gear, and the gear goes out job-ready with WorkSafeBC-aligned guidance when you need it.

We focus on one region, Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, with the Fraser Valley by arrangement. Municipal utility crews, mechanical contractors, tank and vessel turnaround teams, film and facilities work: if the job involves a manhole, a vault, a tank or a pit in this region, our catalog is built around it. Why rent instead of own

If your crews enter confined spaces every week, owning gear can make sense. For periodic entries, a few times a year, ownership quietly becomes a second job:

• Calibration. Gas detectors need regular calibration and a bump test before every day of use. A monitor that sat in a site trailer for six months is a liability, not an asset. Our detectors ship bump-tested and calibrated with a certificate, see the calibration policy.
• Inspection and service dates. Fall protection and retrieval equipment carries manufacturer service intervals, and breathing air cylinders carry hydrostatic test dates. Tracking those across gear that rarely leaves the shelf is exactly the kind of paperwork that slips. When you rent, current inspection status is our job.
• Storage. Tripods, winches, blowers, ducting and cylinders take up racking space and need to be stored clean and dry to stay serviceable. Renting means the gear lives here between jobs, not in the corner of your yard.

Rental turns all of that into a line item: reserve the kit, use it, return it, and the maintenance clock is our problem.

One family, two jobs

Keeping training and rentals in the same family means the advice matches the equipment. The gear we stock reflects what the courses teach, and when a rental raises a competency question, breathing air is the obvious example, we can point you at the right course instead of guessing. Certification requirements apply to some rentals, and we confirm them before reserving.
